Case 1: Iori and Killua
![]() |
In Diedo there is a a colleague of Lindon Travs's. One of the spiritual guides in the Tamida House of Prayer, she spends much of her day listening to the confessions of the devout. What's more widely known is the business she runs on the side selling the information those confessions bring her for a nice, tidy sum to keep the doors of her church open. A few (discreet) inquiries around Diedo will quickly net Iori and Killua the name of Natalie Divine. Not hard to find thanks to her propensity for digital skins that bring her image closer to the draconic heralds that are said in scripture to serve her god, she spends her evenings in a wine bar named Annwyn and the rest of her time in her small church in Tamida. Of course how long Iori and Killua can withstand her proselytizing personality is the true challenge here. Speaking with a calm, hypnotic voice and religious platitudes, there's the feeling her religion might be closer to a brainwashing cult than a place to seek greater harmony with the universe. Once business is brought up though Divine will cut right to the point: she knows something about this case. And she's willing to dish. For a donation. Acceptable donations: ♦ Confession: drinking a potion that leaves you in a euphoric state, a physical sensation like being on fire spreads over your body. This sudden state of pain/pleasure leaves you with a desperate need to confess what burdens your soul. Once you divulge a secret to Divine she will prick your finger with ♦ Conversion: convince someone to attend one of Divine's sermons. ((OOC: this can be another PC or an NPC)) ♦ Monetary: 500 bytes. ♦ ???: if you think your character has something else to offer lemme know and we can work it out. Once both characters have given some form of donation Divine will give them the name of Scipio Novelus. A 17 year old mongrel, he confessed to Divine the crime of stealing Lindon's data drive. It seems he's become caught up in some kind of gang. The gang's quickly escalating activities have Scipio worried, but for reasons Divine couldn't get him to divulge he refuses to leave the group. All he would state is that his boss claims Lindon's information will lead them to "the big time". To find him he works in an electronics sweat shop in Ceres that fixes or repurposes garbage to something marginally sellable. Divine will request that Iori and Killua lead her wayward sheep back from the chasm he's walking into, but of course it's up to them to honor or ignore her request in the coming investigation. |
